Well, I have just discovered that my thumb isn't completely brown!!I am a new gardener, and am trying to learn a little each day!I accidentally raised a little houseplant and it did great for three years..till the dog ate it! I didn't realize how relaxing putting a few seed into the soil and enjoying their beauty would be, and I have to admit, theyre easier than taking care of an animal,LOL! I live in Mississippi, zone 8. We live in a rural farming and oil community, but the oil industry has played out for the most part.
Right now, we are homesteading in a mobile home on my inlaws land. My pipe dream is to eventually have a little house with an acre of land complete with rose gardens, perennials and annuals with lots of color and a backyard to die for..a place to sit and relax drink my coffee and watch the kids grow. I have been married for ten years to the same wonderful man, and we have two little men comming on. I am a nurse by profession (LPN/LVN) but am unemployed at present.. the job market in this area is overloaded. So I am a stay- at- home-looking -for-a-job- mom now

Hi I am Marlys and I am married to Ivan, my wonderful tall second husband!

We live in Temecula, CA, the land of hot air balloons and great wineries. Katy and Joe
are our wonderful next door neighbors and recently Lisa came for a second visit from Sask.,
Canada and we miss her.
Ivan and I have three sons, a lovely daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. a
boy, age 20 and a girl, age 21 months. Our children are a great source of joy to us. None of
them live near us but we talk on the telephone frequently and e-mail often. If you want to
know more about our family, I invite you to visit my home page. Another family member
who is also dearly love is our 12 year old cat, Miss Kitty, a fluffy long haired kitty with
white paws.
Ivan is retired from the corporate world and is currently driving a school bus which loves. I am totally retired from my position as an Independent Court Research Specialist
and I love retirement. We recently returned from a *dream* cruise to Alaska and are still
basking in the joy of it.
My major interests are family, friends, gardening, ( flowers, no veggies), my 'puter, Bible
study and a good glass of Cabernet!
Dislikes are cooking and humor impaired people.

Howdy from my teeny little corner of east Texas! Ken and I moved here on Cedar Creek Lake when he retired
from Exxon in 1993. Our daughter Sandy lives in Houston with her hubby Robert and our two *perfect* grandchildren,
5 1/2 year old Shannon and 3 year old Ryan. Our son Gary lives in San Antonio and is dating a woman with two
little redheads, 4 and 7, who may someday become my granddaughters.
I love being outdoors and playing in the dirt when my allergies allow. I have lots of shade so am always on the
lookout for shade loving plants, as well as ones which are heat and drought tolerant.
I do lots of crafts and sewing, mainly for the grandkids. My latest project is sewing curtains and draperies for
Sandy's house which is being rebuilt after a flood.
I met sweet Sarah at another site and she led me here, thank goodness!

Hi from east Kansas...{Kansas City burbs)! I veggie garden
using 6 raised beds and also start around 26 flats of
annuals/perennials from seed every spring. I suffer from
that "Wow! I just have to try that one" syndrome every
December when the seed catalogues come so I end up with lots
more stuff than I can possibly use... but other folks *can*
and its fun to give the extras away! My Sweetie and I [the
girl next door) have been married for 32 wonderful years...
we have a neat 16 year old daughter who loves music and
makes straight A's ....So who could ask for anything more?!
Oh yes...we have a 12 year old Beagle [Daisy] and an 18
year old Black 'Lepordopress' [Snowbird] who definitely has
ATTITUDE! Deb has created one fabulous site here and all the
great folks that frequent here make this one of the
friendliest stops on the WW Web!!!!

I'm a transplanted midwesterner. Born & raised & up till 3 1/2 years ago lived in N IL. My hubby & I have been
married over 25 years & we have an 18 year old daughter who's graduating this year. My passion is gardening
& taking in all the sights of this beautiful corner of Colorado. It's been a real adventure trying to garden down
here. We have 3 acres of old cattle pasture & wasnt a tree on the place when we bought it. & forget that nice
midwest loam.......rocks,rocks,clay & more rocks......& prairie dogs! The place is slowly getting tamed,I hope to
have a greenhouse this year & then start my own garden business growing wildflowers & herbs. Forgot to
mention, the growing season here is like from July 1 to Aug 25.....not kidding! It's the altitude,ya know But
we love it! ****hint****......great place to vacation......

I've been married to Rod for 43 years. We have 3 married chilren with 8 grandkids between them. We live near a small town in West Michigan and have about 9 acres to enjoy. We have many hobbies, a favorite is gardening, mostly flowers. We love wildflowers and are enjoying growing them on our property (the seeds I won are really going to add to the landscape!). DH grows orchids under lights in the basement and we have three ponds that he made for growing waterlilies and other aquatic plants. I love to sew and have a couple of knitting machines that I really enjoy, but they have been languishing for the last year while I learn to use this computer system. I'd post a picture, but I still haven't learned how to do that. Lessons anyone??
I really have learned most of what I know about html from you gals. Many thanks!

We also love Hawaii & have been vacationing there these past 5 years.

Hello, this is Marci.
I live with Sr, Jr and Jenny. Sr is my man of 6 years. Jr is his son and Jenny is Jr's daughter. I am
like a 'stepgrandma' to Jenny. She is turning 13 years this month.
We live on a hobby farm on an island in Central Mn. We have been known to raise our own meat
and I do most of our butchering. I now have Bronze Breasted Turkeys, and ducks roaming the farm. We just
butchered up our pigs last fall.
I have a large vegetable garden and can or freeze up most of it. I have invested in a Greenhouse last summer and
this spring is my first try at greenhouse growing.
I have also started to buy up flower seeds to try my hand at growing flowers. Jenny was given her own plot of land
to grow her own flower garden. She has surprised my by being excited about gardening.
I love to do woodworking, but hate to paint. LOL Crocheting, knitting machine, scrollsawing, crafting in general are my
hobbies besides Gardening.
I have met and cherished many folks from these gardening sites and want to thank one and all for their friendship!
*cant think of anything more to describe*

another. We met her over the internet at another garden sight almost 3 years ago...Marlys and I, that is.

We are in the process of moving to "Steel Magnolia" country. Within the next 10 days or so we will be relocated there. We love mass plating of flowers, we like exotic stuff, which we usually lose when winter sets in. we hope to start some dogwood trees, pink and white as soon as we moved.
